In every visit I do to new places, I always take a picture of the front of the building. I always think that if the front is inviting enough, people will be excited to enter and explore. The entrance to the Dayton Art Institute shows a massive stainless steel sculpture. Created by John Safer, it is called “Pathway”, a symbol of man’s pathway into space.

The museum boasts a number of “collections that spans 5,000 years of art history, including important Oceanic art, Asian art, European art, and American fine and decorative art collections.”

I would give this museum a 5/5 rating! Although it’s not as big as most museums I’ve been to in other cities, this one has a lot of interesting historical art pieces. You can spend at least 2 hours here.

Make sure you get and use the map provided to you at the counter. This has too many turns that you might miss some corners!
