I had been to other aviation museums and locations around southern Ohio — from Dayton’s National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, Huffman Prairie Flying Field, Wright Brothers National Museum, Wright Cycle Company, Wright Brothers Memorial, to Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, even attended the Vectren Dayton Air Show — and so a visit to WACO Museum & Aviation Center in Troy, Ohio would complete my aviation trail of following world-class aviation sites.

The WACO Museum & Aviation Center is a small place, but still a gem that every aviation enthusiast should visit. The two hangars display restored vintage aircraft made by Waco Aircraft Company (WACO) and other exhibits that tell the history of aviation, including stories of WW2. WACO was the largest manufacturer of civil aircraft in the 1920s to 1930s.

I would recommend a visit. To tour the whole place, it could take 45 minutes to an hour.
