The Hanson Quarry Observation Deck in Fort Wayne, Indiana is a viewing platform that overlooks the 1,000-foot-deep quarry hole. After climbing a flight of stairs, you’ll be rewarded with an expansive view of the Quarry, complete with active machinery and massive dump trucks.

The limestone quarry, which is open to the public known 24 hours a day, is also known as “Indiana’s Grand Canyon.” It began operations in 1942 and continues to grow in depth.
