The Springfield Museum of Art in Ohio is about 30 minutes away from my home. I tried to visit as many art museums as I can and when I can, whether they are big or small. The Springfield Museum of Art is in the smaller category. In fact, when I visited the place, I was done seeing everything in less than an hour.

Although the museum is listed as one of the attractions in Springfield, Ohio, I was surprised to realize that I was the only one inside the museum on a mid-Saturday afternoon. Shouldn’t Saturdays be busy since most visitors travel on weekends? The size of the museum and the limited art galleries could be the main reason that only few people care to pay it a visit.

So is Springfield Museum of Art worth a visit? The answer is NO, if you live far away. However, if you live nearby, it could be a destination if you have nothing to do on weekends. One last thing, if you visit the museum, check out the beautiful creek behind the building.
