The Shedd Aquarium in Chicago is one of the most organized and beautiful aquariums I’ve seen. Being the second largest aquarium in the U.S., there are so much to see in here. What surprised me is a whole section of the aquarium devoted to the beauty of the Philippine reefs, called “Wild Reef”!

The long line to get tickets is really disappointing. I think they should have more ticketing counters to reduce the waiting and standing in line. Just a warning to all who intend to visit: the Shedd Aquarium charges $40 per person to enter the facility. This is actually expensive than most aquariums I have visited. However, the entrance fee is worth it. This aquarium has so many sections that you may need 3 to 4 hours to see everything. If you go with kids, they would surely love this place.

Tips.

1. But your ticket online.

2. There is a food store inside with a beautiful view of the lake. I recommend you seat outside, there are many tables available and you get to enjoy the views of nature.

3. Carry a map. You do not want to miss a section of this huge aquarium.

4. Watch the dolphin show. Ask for the schedule at the ticket counter.
