Built in Dayton by Columbia Bridge Works Founder David Morrison, this Morrison Iron Bridge once spanned Tom’s Run on Gratis Road near Farmersville, Ohio. David H. Morrison was Dayton’s city engineer. He was also considered as the father of Dayton’s public works since he significantly improved the city’s infrastructure.

The pieces of this iron bridge was assembled at the site with the help of farmers, who would ultimately benefited from it by connecting them to the markets in the nearby villages.
