The Print Shop building showcases the 1930s printing office in Dayton, Ohio with period equipment. It interprets an era when the city was home to 77 printing companies. Dayton was home to the immense McCall Company printing plant and other leading companies in the production of periodicals, business forms, music sheets, and printed packaging.

Interesting historical facts:

1. The errand-boy or youngest apprentice in a print shop was known as a printer’s devil.

2. An apprentice during that time typically lasted six years.
