Keukenhof Flower Garden, also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the most famous flower gardens in the world. The garden is open to the public for only eight weeks each year, from March to May, when millions of colorful tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and other flowers bloom in stunning displays.

The garden covers an area of 200 hectares and features a variety of themed gardens, pavilions, and exhibitions showcasing the beauty and diversity of Dutch horticulture. Visitors can stroll through the tulip fields, explore the English landscape garden, admire the sculptures and artworks on display, and attend floral arranging demonstrations and workshops.

Keukenhof Flower Garden is also home to the largest bulb flower mosaic in the world, made up of over 50,000 tulips, and a historic windmill that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. In addition, the garden hosts a variety of special events and activities throughout the season, such as music festivals, flower parades, and children’s activities.

If you visit, you need more than 3 hours to see every nook and cranny of this magnificent garden.

Keukenhof, meaning “kitchen garden”, was built in 1641 and just grew in area over the years.

In 1949 a group of 20 flower bulb exporters came up with a plan to use the estate for a permanent exhibition of spring-flowering bulbs, signalling the birth of Keukenhof as a spring park. The park opened its gates tot he public in 1950 and was an instant success, with 236,000 visitors in the first year alone.

During the last 65 years Keukenhof has grown into a world-famous attraction.
