With nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon, I decided to visit the Mesilla Valley Art Gallery in Mesilla, New Mexico. Located just across the Old Town plaza, it is very convenient for visitors.
The entrance to the gallery is at the back of the building and not in front or along the road. When I opened the door, the lady manning the gallery did not even care to greet me. I looked around and saw no other visitor inside. I said my hello to her.
Only when I asked the lady about the gallery that she started talking to me. She said that there are three small rooms with displayed arts and that I was allowed to take photos.
I saw textile art, art tile and woodworking.
Paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel.
Some copies are for sale.
The gallery is so small that I was out of the building in less than 30 minutes. With a lady that was not very accommodating, it made me think not to visit again.
