Thanks to GMA 7’s “Biyahe ni Drew” travel show, the small town of Argao (where I came from) in the southern part of Cebu, Philippines was featured on TV lately. The show covered mostly the main attractions Argao proudly promotes — from the Bugasok Falls, to the Agta Cave, to the Mountain Coal Resort, to the beach skimboarding, to the Riverstone Castle, to the Argao Nature Park, and most especially to the more than 2-century old San Miguel Archangel Parish Church.

The show also featured Argao’s famous products, delicacies, foods and drinks. Some of those that were mentioned were the Argao Torta, tuba, linuyang, the tasty homba, Gilang’s tableya, the dress-making “hablon” industry.

Argao, Cebu is just 2 hours away from the city. If you want to travel cheap, take a bus from the South Bus terminal station located in Natalio B. Bacalso Ave.
