When I get to enter a museum for free and enjoy the exhibits inside, there is nothing for me to complain about. The University of Wisconsin Geology Museum is a small museum inside the UW campus, yet it is full of interesting display. Depending on how interested you are in geology, you can go through everything in an hour or so.

Small but has all the key attractions that make it worth the visit.

Also, don’t miss the fluorescent room, to see rocks that glow in the dark.
