Have you seen the ancient etches on stones at the Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque, New Mexico? If you have not, then you should. You will see the earlier works of native Indians that date back to 1300 AD. There are also sketches that may be drawn several centuries later by Spanish settlers.
From afar, the ancient graffiti are unrecognizable. Only when you follow the trail and look closely unto the rocks that you’ll spot the glyphs.

The trails range from somewhat easy to challenging, sometimes steep and usually uneven.
