Coming from the east, there is no way you will ever miss the turn going to the Wall Drug attraction located in Wall, South Dakota. There seems to be a sign every 100 feet starting 50 miles away. What a great job of luring travelers to the place!
So what’s to see in the Wall Drug in SD? The place is a cute little tourist road stop, especially when you are on your way to the Black Hills, with all kinds of crazy gift stores along its short stretch. It is also close to the South Dakota Badlands, so making a side trip to The Wall is, sort of, given.
Life-size.
I personally love the taxidermy and the life size statuary. Even mom loves them too!
Wall-covered.
The place is full of photo memorabilia — from one hall to another.
Rumbling Dino.
There’s the animated dinosaur that goes to a loud rumbling sound every now and then….. and there’s also the giant rabbit.
Kids surely love the place.
So much to see and purchase.
And just about any souvenir store you’d like to find.
The Wall is known for its “Free Ice Water”, as it began with free water and that tradition holds.
