The National Statistics Office provided a data of the Most Common Filipino Names based on records from January 2000 to December 2005. The record showed the Filipinos’ love for biblical names. Among male names, “Joshua” is the most popular, although it disappeared from the top 5 names in 2002.

The names “Christian” and “John Paul” are always present in the top 5 list.

Among Filipino female names, “Angelica” ruled the rankings, until in 2005 when “Angel” took the top spot.

Another popular name for Filipinas is “Mary Joy”.
