When I visited Luxembourg for the first time, I immediately looked for the Luxembourg Cathedral. Located near the old town market and fashion street, the 1613 structure is the only Cathedral in the tiny country. It may not be as huge as the Notre Dame in Paris, the Renaissance-style inspired Cathedral is just a lovely and mesmerizing.

The exterior of the cathedral is stunning, with its intricate stonework and soaring spires reaching up towards the sky. Visitors can admire the intricate carvings on the façade, including statues of saints and biblical scenes.

Inside, the cathedral is equally impressive. The nave is lined with massive columns and features stunning stained-glass windows that bathe the space in a colorful glow. The altar is also a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, with its intricate carvings and ornate decoration.

One of the highlights of a visit to the Luxembourg Cathedral is the crypt, which houses the tomb of John the Blind, King of Bohemia and Count of Luxembourg. The tomb is a masterpiece of medieval sculpture, with its lifelike depictions of the king and his knights.

Inside is the patron saint of Luxembourg, the miraculous image of the Maria Consolatrix Afflictorum.
